We wander about the field of our life looking for satisfaction. We stumble into and out of happiness. No matter how hard we try to preserve what we desire, everything changes, even as we hold it close to our heart. Every part of our mind waxes and wanes and our belief and faith do the same.
This world is at it is and everything that happens is perfect. Whether we accept it or not. To live this perfection is the perfection of the human condition. Yet, our being can transcend this perfect mayhem.
To transcend requires a study of our mind. All that we know comes through the window of the mind.
I transcended the mind by turning my life’s energy toward the study of my mind. This turning inward yielded a field of study as vast as life. Rather than seeking wholeness, it developed as a byproduct of single- mindedness. Wholeness is not transcendence. Happiness is not transcendence. Transcendence is the discovery of our true nature.
You too wise people will recognize that the mind cannot study the mind. What it discovers, though, is that all it observes is not it. The mind can peel away the layers of dross. What we see is not us.
