It’s the smooth surface of the self that is in doubt. It’s the flawless circle of the eye that distorts. We arise from liquid pools of perfection, and immediately begin to lie, bending all to the circumference of our wanting. This is the spring and summer of our living.
But on the day of your personal equinox, you’ll see the waver before the fall, if only for a moment, as a thin sheen of reflection over a much grander depth.
