O my son, O my father,

what brought us to this tragic day,

to bleed our dreams upon the ground

and rest our hopes in other ways.

Some will see and wonder how

fate led us to this lonely ground

where moon and sun forget us now

as we forget the ties that bound.

What we were once we are no more

two stones recall what we ignore,

darkness leads us to another door

through which life, like rain, ever pours.
