Fresh

Coming to this world fresh, I fill jars with sprigs and stones capturing the delicate balance of green and glass, of being and emptiness that makes life glorious.

But the beauty that illuminates the brown burst of a seed head decants like a dream unraveling in day.

Leaving this world fresh, I tilt these containers – complications of my clinging – and pour out the pieces of life leaving empty glass jars filled with light.
