Jars of Glass

Where is cold light reflected by glass?

Filled with winter cuttings – once green reminders of place and potential – the clean curves of a glass jar hold infinite space within their transparent boundary.

There are edges of clarity – clear glass – inside of us. And through all, a borderless field of light.

What container are you?

comments: There’s a glass jar on my desk, and when the light is just right, it is me, or rather I’m it and it is light, emptiness, a container that contains yet is contained. Also, It’s a bit of a play on “jars of clay,” a well-known Christian band that takes its name from this biblical verse: II Corinthians 4:7. “We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
