The Long Sigh

The questions why purpose and pain, those thoughts, those words the preacher’s domain. Yet many wonder when near to slumber, or close to those they will never know, if life and love like melting snow grace the world with beauty and light only to fade with new day’s light.

The questions why purpose and pain, haunted her in younger days and held her life to narrow ways. Yet the answer slight and quiet be, she feels most every day indeed in spreading out her arms to find the wind that blows a silent chime; an endless ribbon transcending time, though she forgets, then turns to sigh.
