This endeavor is like kneeling before a granite slab with bones and shells in my hands, determining to shape stone with story. Yet believing brings on such beginnings and I carve my love into paper, casting dreams upon walls. I write:
Of shadows playing in the breeze of the sun’s ceaseless giving of every warm and loving thing, every space that says, “I Am.”
When the day sets, you come alive and I begin to fade. We meet in beautiful moments poised like flowers turned towards each other, looking for light in the dusk; finding, deep within, the same.
And as I write, paper turns to granite and my words turn to copper bending and breaking under the force of feeling. I scratch upon its surface, for everyone – and no one – to see that my thought is of you.
